Need some motivation to exercise? Think that running a 5k (equivalent to 3.1 miles) is an impossible feat? With the proper training and lots of motivation, anyone can do it! Join our Couch to 5k Training Group and let the American Red Cross help you! No prior running experience is necessary. Get off the couch and start training for a 5k! We will provide you with the training to complete a 5k run. Members will meet regularly for group runs/walks. While the ultimate goal is successful completion of the 3rd Annual Turkey Trot, you'll benefit overall from improved strength, increased flexibility, cardiovascular endurance and weight control. In addition, all that working out together has its social benefits. You'll meet a dynamic group of like-minded individuals who will share an exciting experience with you. |

Improve yourself, while helping others in the process! Come to one of the Couch to 5k Information Meetings and learn more about this wonderful program. Bring a friend! Information meetings are scheduled for: You must attend one of the information meetings before coming to the kickoff, or come to a Saturday morning training at Honor Field . The Couch to 5k Training Program kickoff will be Saturday, September 11 at 9 am at Honor Field.
